Measuring What Matters

Reducing our carbon footprint begins with knowing where emissions occur. Each year, World Centric completes a comprehensive carbon accounting assessment that measures emissions across our operations—including manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, office energy use, and delivery. This accounting does not eliminate impact. It makes it visible. The resulting data informs where reductions are possible and where sustainability investments can have the greatest effect.

Measuring and Reducing Operational Emissions

We conduct annual carbon accounting to track emissions, identify reductions, inform Carbon Giving, and maintain transparency. Since our FY2021 baseline, emissions per product have declined, largely through supplier renewable energy adoption. Recent gains are smaller, reflecting the increasing difficulty of further reductions.

Addressing Our Footprint

Each year we calculate our carbon footprint. We reduce where we can. What remains, we address through Carbon Giving: investments in long-term carbon reduction and sequestration that also build resilience in frontline communities. Our team reviews projects for direct, measurable impact. We require ongoing reporting on results.

Carbon Giving in Practice

Carbon Giving funds grassroots organizations linking climate action and social equity. The communities hit hardest by climate change contributed least to causing it. This work addresses both the carbon and the injustice.
